Drive to Vilnius and Trakai.Lithuania has very rich folk traditions, which exist alongside deeply rooted Catholic faith. No less rich is the story. Unlike other Baltic countries, Lithuania had its own state in the 13th century. Churches, cathedrals, town towers, ramparts and fortifications tell us about the extensive history of Vilnius, including Lonely medieval houses and narrow streets. Here you can admire the magnificent masterpiece of the high Gothic style-the Annenkirche with the baroque altars at the beginning of the 18th century. It is one of the oldest universities in Europe, the Church of St. Peter and Paul – a real pearl of Baroque art, the Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and much more. During the city tour, visitors will also visit the village beyond the small river Vilnia-Republic of Užupis, the local Montmartre, an artist's Republic with its own constitution and even its own Užupis money in circulation. The further route leads us to Trakai, the old capital of the Lithuanian Empire and residence of the Great Princes. Trakai is located in a picturesque lake landscape 27 kilometers west of Vilnius. Our destination is the island castle, which stands on an island in Lake Galve. The island castle has an extensive and very interesting exposition of the Museum. For lunch you can eat in a Restoran of local carers.
